‘flexibility – design in a fast-changing society’ is one of the many events taking place in turin this year in
conjunction with the city being named the ‘design world capital for 2008′. the show consists of nine
projects by international designers installed at a former prison ex carceri ‘le nuove’.

Renewable Clothingby fernando brízio
by placing colored felt-tip pens in the pockets of the dress its appearance changes over time.
within an hour – to one and a half hours the colored ink bleeds into the fabric and creates a one-off design
for each occasion. the owner can then clean the dress and color it in a different way for each time they wear it.

Stina Persson has lived, studied and worked in Tokyo, New York, Florence and Lund, Sweden, where she was born. She says her illustration style is basically about “finding the right balance between the edgy and the elegant the raw and the beautiful.” To achieve this, she uses ink, watercolor and gouache, as well as Mexican cut paper (used at ceremonies and festivals).

Virtual Shoe Museum

The Virtual Shoe Museum was initiated by Liza Snook in 2004. Once the idea was born, a long search began for designers, photographers and publishers connected to shoes. New friendships developed and our mailbox filled with loads of material on fantastic shoes, art and design on shoes.

And finally, with the help of Taco Zwaanswijk of Interactive Affairs, who designed the site, and Bart van der Ploeg of Resolume, who programmed the database and created the content management system, we’re live! And proud! And we’re only just beginning…

Both very well executed and quite similar. Seems like music is ruling the trends in t-shirts.. or is it the opposite? I like the musics as well.
