I’m not sure which cover I like most, but Michael Gillette has made it bright and beautiful again, this time illustrating the Bond Series for Penguin Books. Probably Surely the best Book covers Publishing House in the world. More here.

(sorry, I know I’m a bit delayed and it’s out for a while, but I only caught the track Michael Gillette’s blog today.)

My work has appeared in magazines, on billboards, in books and on the wall next to the telephone. Illustration has been my sole occupation since leaving art school over 15 years ago and indeed it is doubtful that I could actually hold down a proper job if asked.

I have been published in countries as far flung as Japan, India, Germany, Spain, Rarotonga and Iceland but mostly work comes from American and British people.

My spare time is spent putting lint into stranger’s pockets.

Client List
The bulk of my work has come from editorial clients, notably appearing in The Atlantic Monthly, Bloomberg Personal, Elle DÈcor, Forbes, GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Martha Stewart Living, The National Post, The New York Times, Suddeutsche Zeitung Magazine, Newsweek, Playboy, Time, and The Wall St. Journal to name but a few.

on the The Book of Life

“The human race has been marching upward from the first ages of history. Under what law has that mighty procession of the ages taken place? Science and history both answer that man has advanced, step by step, from the ignorant and selfish rule of his lower brain organs uptoward the beneficent dominion of his higher faculties.

The laws which have controlled that vast upward movement are still in force. They are fixed in the very constitution of man. And they are of supreme importance at the present time, for they determine what new institutions and what social changes are now required to meet that higher growth of man.”
