Stina Persson has lived, studied and worked in Tokyo, New York, Florence and Lund, Sweden, where she was born. She says her illustration style is basically about “finding the right balance between the edgy and the elegant the raw and the beautiful.” To achieve this, she uses ink, watercolor and gouache, as well as Mexican cut paper (used at ceremonies and festivals).

Big Sur Coast, California, 2000

Wildflowers thrive amid twisted tree limbs along California’s Big Sur Coast. Stretching 42 miles (67.6 kilometers) along the Pacific from Carmel to San Simeon, the Big Sur Coast dazzles visitors with its craggy cliffs and dramatic ocean drop-offs.

Virtual Shoe Museum

The Virtual Shoe Museum was initiated by Liza Snook in 2004. Once the idea was born, a long search began for designers, photographers and publishers connected to shoes. New friendships developed and our mailbox filled with loads of material on fantastic shoes, art and design on shoes.

And finally, with the help of Taco Zwaanswijk of Interactive Affairs, who designed the site, and Bart van der Ploeg of Resolume, who programmed the database and created the content management system, we’re live! And proud! And we’re only just beginning…

Both very well executed and quite similar. Seems like music is ruling the trends in t-shirts.. or is it the opposite? I like the musics as well.

Newly Out JUSTICE single: “d.a.n.c.e.”

And another one, by X-Wife, “Ping Pong”.

UCLA Biomedical Library History & Special Collections: The John C. Liebeskind History of Pain Collection

The Antikamnia (“Opposed to Pain”) Chemical Company of St. Louis, Missouri produced several calendars (1897-1901) illustrated with “Skeleton Sketches”–chromolithographed series based on watercolors by the local physician-artist Louis Crucius. The limited edition calendars were mailed to physicians who provided business cards or letterhead correspondence as evidence of their medical standing. Antikamnia was a proprietary product consisting of acetanalid (antifebrin) combined with sodium bicarbonate, citric acid and caffeine.

Via bibliodyssey

The Liebeskind Collection recently acquired copies of the English- and French-language calendars for 1900, which matches 2007′s calendar day-for-day.

Downloadable copies of the 1900 calendars are also available.
