We are proud to inform the release of our first minibook, from the series “Fitacola & Co.”, that will also feature a collage exhibition, in October 18 at the gallery ATELIER OPEN in Amsterdam. The book is expected to be released in October 8, and the vernissage party will be held at the gallery the 21st October.

The book and exhibition will feature collage artists with exclusive works made for the exhibition, and samples of their collage/mixed-medias art.

Fitacola &Co. is a creative collaborative project developed by the collective “fitacola” (Carlos Quitério and Graça Santos) focused mainly on collage techniques: digitally processed or handmade, crossed with medias such as photography, illustration, typography, drawing and painting, in two-dimensional formats.

National and International selected artists will create new works for this project, and will integrate limited editions, in the form of a mini-book by “fitacola & Co”, among other side events and works such as exhibitions, or limited collectables.

The first edition (Fitacola & Co. #1) will be released on the 8th October 2011 with works by:

To present each edition of Fitacola & Co will be arranged an exhibition: The first one is on the 21st October 2011 at Atelier Open in Amsterdam, with the works of the artists featured in Fitacola & Co #1.

It is an initiative based in Portugal, and foresees the internationalization in the collaborations, distribution, promotion and presentations, aiming this way for a greater projection and visibility of the artists and works exhibited, as well as a greater variety of styles and proposals that adapt to the themes and objectives.

The continuity of this project through regular issues and parallel exhibitions and presentations, also depends on the support and partnerships established, having been confirmed collaborations, partnerships and support, with Re-searcher Gallery & Bookshop (Lisbon); Bixo Mau (Caldas da Rainha); Maratona Restaurant (Caldas da Rainha).
